Congrats CK98 and y02chs07!

What is your timeline y02chs07?

I am nervously awaiting the final decision from CBS. I interviewed earlier this week.

It seems business schools say they are at least beginning to look at IR. Hoping it's true...

Yeah I did. I'm not expecting anything until the end of the month based everyone else's timeline.

I had clients who submitted earlier and had a 5-week wait before getting an interview invite. The closer it gets to the ED deadline, the more people submit, so I would think that while you COULD hear in 4 weeks... it could be up to 6 since they may have gotten slammed at the deadline.

Good luck!

How many adcoms do they have reviewing? And how many apps does each get through in a day? Just curious at the numbers cause even with only say 10 admissions people doing like 15 a day you're at 750 per week. Don't get how it takes them 6 weeks if they supposedly breeze through everyone's app...

Well, each application gets reviewed by at least 2 members, so you should cut that 750 number in half in terms of how many applications come to an interview decision/ week. On top of that, I've heard it takes 20-30 min/ read through, so 15 a day per member assumes 7-8 hours just spent on initial read throughs. They also spend time on admission decision reviews and other misc. things like recruiting events, random inquiries etc..

I could be off, though. But just my thoughts

You are absolutely right -- they are not sitting there all day every day ONLY reading applications! They're also dealing with setting people up with alums for interviews, reassigning people whose alums can't meet, answering a ton of questions every day via email and phone, etc., etc.

And, you know, they have lives, too! ; )

Good luck to all!
