Hi
FrancoBaci, congrats on the admit. Could you please share a bit of your profile?
From what I've heard from current students and alumni, and read online, HEC Montreal is a regional school with its main market in Montreal. Also, French is key to land a job, I'm not saying that without it it's impossible to get a job, however it becomes more complicated. The program has two intakes in April, both Full Time, one taught in French while the other is taught in English. I think that perhaps the employment stats are skewed a little by the French intake which I guess has a stronger network and, given its language proficiency, lands the better jobs. Unfortunately, this is
only a guess since stats for each program are not shown apart.
As always I guess that it depends on how much effort you put into the program and your jbo search starts from day one, HEC Montreal says that they have a chapter in Toronto, however it seems that the school has limited recognition outside Quebec as I've been told. Also it depends on your aspirations, for example I expect it to be much tougher to get into McKinsey through HEC Montreal than through Rotman.
Let me know what have you researched about the school and the Montreal market please.
