Hi guys.. I am planning to apply at HEC Montreal for Masters in Global Supply Chain Management program in 2019 batch. However, I am confused that whether I should apply for the fall or the winter session. The deadline for the winter session is 15 Sept but I am afraid that applying near to the deadline would reduce my chances of acceptance. Can anyone clarify on that? Also, do the results get declared after or before the admissions deadline in case I go for the fall batch whose deadline is 15 March?

Hi all,

I will be applying to HEC for full-time MBA 2020 intake.
Profile:
Gmat : 640
Gpa : 4
Work exp : IT field (Operations)
College and Degree : VIT Vellore and Btech Biomedical Engineering
Extra-curricular : Decent amount of leadership, team building, team management exp
NGO : Juvenile Care

When I will be applying at that time will have 2 years of Work experience. In the official HEC Montreal site, it is mentioned that minimum 2 years of work exp is required. But when I went through some other sites and class profiles, it showed that average 4-5 years of work exp is required.

So will my profile be considerate and apt if I apply with 2 years of work experience ?

Generally speaking, most MBA’s have a minimum requirement for work experience that ranges from 2-3 years.

However the average will be closer to 4-5 years.

If you only have 2 years experience, this would be seen as a weaker point on your application as it is difficult to evaluate a candidate and their career progression in that short amount of time.

Make sure that everything else in your application is strong, and it could all even out.

My understanding is that the duration of the work permit equals the duration of the programme (unless it is a 2 year programme, in which case the work permit is for 3 years). So, in the case of the HEC MBA, it should be 1 year.
