Life as an Indian applicant is surely tough.

I was amazed by how many Indians were interviewing on campus for Fuqua! I assume they are all NRI's. Just blown away by the competition!
The problem I think is, if someone with a brilliant profile applies with a a score of 740, Adcoms can find better/same profile with a score of 770!

Did you interview on-campus? I'm an NRI, and interviewed on-campus. However I did not see any NRI that day. In fact 2 applicants flew in from India just for the interview.

I did see Indians and I just assumed that they are NRI's. This was on a weekend!

It's as crazy as it sounds. But even more crazier fact is that people travel from LATAM and far-east asia as well, even for campus visits. Not interviews- just visit. In all of my campus visits, I have witnessed the same.
