A. 2/7
B. 3/15
C. 10/101
D. 20/201
E. 21/201

Total number of digits with 7 in ten's digit from 151 through 352 = {157, 167, 177, . . . . . . . . . 347} = 20
Total digits = 352 - 151 + 1 = 202

Probability = 20/202 = 10/101

IMO Option C

Hi Dillesh4096
question says: 7 in the tens digit (not unit digit). So, they should be 170,171,172,....up to 179 (total 10 digits) and 270,271,272,...... up to 279 (total 10 digits).
Probability \(\frac{20}{202}\)-->\(\frac{10}{101}\)
The answer is C
Isn't it buddy?

A. 2/7

C. 10/101
D. 20/201
E. 21/201

In the 100s, there are 10 numbers with tens digit of 7: 170, 171, …, 179.

In the 200s, there are also 10 numbers with tens digit of 7: 270, 271, …, 279.

In the 300s, there are no numbers with tens digit of 7 that are less than or equal to 352.

Since there are a total of 352 - 151 + 1 = 202 numbers and 20 of them have tens digit of 7, the probability is 20/202 = 10/101.

Answer: C

A. 2/7
B. 3/15
C. 10/101
D. 20/201
E. 21/201

352 - 151 = 201
201 + 1 (to include the number 352) = 202

Numbers with a tens digit of 7=
170, 171, 172,...,179 = 10 numbers
270, 271, 272,...279 = 10 numbers

total = 20 numbers with a tens digit of 7

20/202 = 10/101

Answer is C.

No need to solve I guess.

Total number of cards are 202 so that goes into the denominator. Out of all options only C has a denominator that’s a factor of 202. So only C could be the answer.

Let me know if this reasoning is right?
