bj86 or anyone how is letter of recommendation needs to be submitted..Is it required to upload LOR's in supporting docs by applicant itself or mailed directly to hec by recommenders..any idea

The completed LORs has to be emailed to documentsenligne@hec.ca unless being submitted by mail or in person.
The instructions for submission has been provided at the bottom of the LOR format.

Interviews used to happen with the Alumni s until the Video Essays were introduced.

I couldn't find any information anywhere if they would still be conducted.

Extra curricular- won a national level moot court competition
3rd in an international one
Participated in sports throughout school and college
Convener - library committee

Work ex- 3 + years of litigation under a senior lawyer
Have argued , researched on, drafted, advised on matters pertaining to real estate laws, service jurisprudence (disciplonary inquiries, prpnotions etc), arbitration proceedings, having extensively dealt with private clients literally everyday for the past 3 years

(I can give the gmat again and im sure to get a higher score since my gmat didnt go as well as expected, /but i dont see the point in it because the score is decent anyways -- however, im also trying to offset the low gpa with a high gmat and im only going for the canadian schools amd not american ones)

I just spoke to an MBA Student who is still studying and she confirmed that last year there were no MBA Alumni Interviews. Only the Video Responses were considered.
I hope this will be the same this year !

I could not find any info either.

In fact, for the video essays, I was expecting more detailed questions with respect to why MBA, why HEC and all, but it was a surprise.
If the interview with alumni is used to judge the presentation of the candidate, I believe video essays serve the same purpose, moreover, it explores the confidence and structured thinking and ability of the candidate to think on the toes.

However, I still expect further interaction with ad-com. I am sure, there will be gray areas among the SOP, video essay and applicants profile.

Yes.
If you have applied for some other program or applied previously, you may provide reference and obtain official reporting exception before applying.

I managed to submit my application before the first deadline, my two cents on the issues:

1. I think that video essays were introduced to evaluate the level of English of the student
2. It also served the purpose of evaluate the structure of thinking of the candidate
3. The website states that the deadline for a decision is Oct 15 (I thought it was going to be a shorter wait)

parham the video questions are general flashed randomly out of question pool of university and the answers will be specific to oneself.

Hello!! Friends

I have been googling about HEC Montreal since last two days. Here are the concerns

1. HEC's website is dull and provides minimal information
2. An hour of google search threw profiles of very few people working in Financial Services. Not even in BMO, despite it is headquartered in Montreal.
3. Unlike the profile appearing in google search for "Ivey" or "Queens", the profiles for "HEC Montreal" seems quiet dull. No offence to anyone. I may be completely wrong

Can Ivey, Queens, and HEC be classified in a same tier ? I understand they may be ranked differently, but are they even comparable in terms of reputation ?

2. Yes, the information seems to be minimal, however if you search a little more you can find even the course schedule, giving you a light of the course duration and the possibilities.

3. Regarding Ivey and Queens: You are right, the profiles seem different, I think that HEC Montreal has more "industry jobs" while the others focus on fashy fields (e.g. consulting). Don't know if these schools are in the same Tier, I am only sure that Rotman is the best.
