(1) s = 20

(2) s = 4/3r

Given: Price of Martha's meal = 10
Tip = r/100*10 = r/10 = 1.5
r = 15

Assume Sam's meal = S
Tip left by Sam = s/100*S = 1.5
s/S = 150 - (i)

Required: S =?

Statement 1: s = 20
From (i), we can calculate the value of S
SUFFICIENT

Statement 2: s = 4/3r
Hence s = 4/3*15 = 20
From (i), we can calculate the value of S
SUFFICIENT

Let price of Sam's meal = Sm
Cost of Martha's meal = 10$
Tip given by Martha = 1.5 $
=> (r/100) * 10 = 1.5
=> r = 15%

Tip given by Sam = (s/100)*Sm = 1.5 $

(1) s = 20
We can calculate Sm
Sufficient
(2) s = 4/3r
=> s =( 4/3 ) * 15 = 20 %
Sufficient
Answer D

Hi tanad and mods, for accuracy purposes, kindly edit (2) as s=(4/3)*r.
It can be misunderstood as 4/(3r).

Thank you! :D
