** The Admissions Committee requires all applicants seeking a GMAT/GRE waiver to submit requests by the test waiver deadline for each round. Late submissions may be denied or moved to the next round.

Enrollment deposit Once you are admitted and decide to attend UNC Kenan-Flagler, there is a non-refundable enrollment deposit of 1,500 USD, regardless of which round you apply in.

Essay 1 (a) What are your immediate career goals and how will you benefit from earning an MBA at Kenan-Flagler Business School?
(b) As the business world continues to evolve, circumstances can change and guide you in a different direction. Should your goals that you provided above not transpire, what other opportunities would you explore? (500 words)
Essay 2Reflect on a project or initiative you were involved in that had a significant positive impact on a community, organization, or individual. How did this experience shape your sense of responsibility as a future leader dedicated to making a difference in the world? (500 words)
Essay 3We encourage you to tell us more about who you are so we can get to know you as a person and potential member of the Carolina community. Use this essay to convey information that you may not have otherwise been able to in the application.
Optional topics:
-Personal or professional accomplishments
-Interests and passions
-Gaps in work experience or inconsistent academic performance
-Context for recommender selection
-A fun fact about yourself (200 words)



Re-applicants

If you are re-applying to the program, UNC Kenan-Flagler requires a complete application, with new essay responses, recommenders and an updated resume. Your transcripts will rollover to the new application, as will your test scores, if they are still valid. In addition, UNC asks for a brief essay (100 words or less) that describes how your application differs from your previous submission and that alerts us to new test scores, a recent promotion, or other areas that demonstrate how you have strengthened your candidacy.

UNC average is 706. Being an Indian Male I recommend 20-30 more points on top of the average. This is just me based on. On scientific numbers. You can check decision tracker

And Can I report my official scores to UNC after getting an admit from the college or is it compulsory for me to send them across during the application phase only ?

Hi everyone, I’m an Indian woman applying in round 1 for the full-time MBA program.

I have 3 YOE in ad-tech (media.net) as a Marketing and Strategy Associate. My role involves forming advertising strategy for our web publishers via different ad-tech implementations to grow their accounts. The role directly contributes to our business revenue.

This year I was promoted to Senior Associate, the equivalent of a Team Lead, coordinating a team of four (no direct reports)

I did my BA in Psychology from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai with a GPA of 3.76/4. Held several leadership positions in college tests and have 3-4 meaningful volunteer experiences (spanning college years and after)

My GRE score is 312 (V153, Q159).

Post MBA career goals are product management or management consulting.

What are my chances of getting admitted to Kenan-Flagler?

Official scores need to be reported at the time of application for all business schools. Your application will only be considered complete if you have done the same.

Thanks for writing in.

Good to see a differentiated academic background as well as a promotion + indirect leadership experience fairly early on in your career. These will together prove to add immense value to your overall application.

That said, the GRE is a cause of concern. Your score is way under the class average and will weaken your case; if you are targeting the US top ~25 schools, we suggest that you retake the GRE and then apply.

Hello Mdislam,

Thanks for writing in.

It is always going to be tough to quantify the chances with a GMAT waiver; ideally, we are of the opinion that your chances will always be high with a GMAT score unless you have a low score that otherwise does not do justice to your academic and professional credentials.

When you do not submit a test score, the rest of your profile becomes the sole basis for evaluation; hence, your chances of making it in will purely depend on how unique your candidature is.
