    1) a/b = 2
    2) The highest number which is a divisor of both a and b is b.

1) \(LCM (a,b) = 2b\) because \(a\) divisible by \(b\) and have \(2\) in factors.
2) \(LCM (a, b) = a\) because \(a\) divisible by \(b\) and \(b\) too divisible by \(b\)

Answer is D



Answer is D
In statement 1, LCM will always be a and not 2b. As an example , a= 8 , b = 4 , then only a/b = 2 and the LCM of (8,4) is 8 , which equals a.
