Two employees each received raises. Which of the two, Scott or Alex, received the greater amount in raise?

We are comparing Alex and Scott and need some overlap in the information about them

(1) Alex received a 12% raise.

Sure, but on how much? Any other relation given? Any mention of Scott? No. Insufficient

(2) After his 3% raise Scott's salary was $92,000
Great! We now know Scott's original salary and the amount he received as a raise. Do we know anything about Alex? No. Insufficient

Combining (1) + (2)

We still don't have any overlap in information about the two. Insufficient

We don’t know Alex got raise on how much Salary. And nothing given about Scott.
Insufficient

(2) After his 3% raise Scott's salary was $92,000.
Nothing about Alex is given.
Insufficient

(1)&(2)
We still don’t know Alex got a 12% raise on how much salary. So, it’s not possible to determine who received greater amount in raise.
Insufficient

who received greater amount in raise :

Option 1:
Alex received 12% increase -> no info about initial salary, no info about Scott -> Not Sufficient (Eliminate A&D)
Option 2:
After 3% increase, Scott's salary=92,000
initial salary=(92000*100)/103
We know nothing about Alex in this option . Hence not sufficient Eliminate B
Taking both together also we can't find any way to see Alex's initial salary Hence C not Sufficient

Hence Option E (neither sufficient is correct)
