Hello all,
My first post here on this forum, although I have been a avid reader for a month or so now. I am incredibly frustrated with the GMAT, in particular my ability to do the Quant section. I have been cranking exclusively on the quant. section to try to get it up to the mid 30's (I can easily score a 42+ on Verbal, so this is the only area I am in serious need of work in). I just wrapped a hard week or two of study, and took a
GMAT club test and bombed. Like, totally ate it not dissimilar to Goose from Top Gun. I got a little over half correct, but when I do the question sets from MGMT guides, I usually get at least 70-80% correct, pending on the question mix/topic (good for an ex-English major such as my self). This makes me want to toss up my arms and drop the GMAT, focus on other life goals... like actually making money. Of course I will press on, but seriously, are the
GMAT Club tests designed to beat the #$%# out of the test taker? This seems like prepping for a high-school hockey game by scrimmaging against the Boston Bruins. Very frustrated!
I should mention that my goal is not 700+ here, I would settle for a 600-650 (long story on school selection, but cost and flexibility is a major factor, so I am going state school).
