Hi all,
Now I know that the % of questions one gets right on paper practice questions has little to do with what score one will get on the computer since it adapts to how well the test taker is doing, but I meant to do this more as an informal poll. Basically, I was wondering, out of all the users here who ended up scoring or are getting 700+ on their computer test/official GMAT, around what % of the practice questions did you get right when you did them on paper (i.e. not a practice CAT exam)? When I first started prepping for the GMAT, I was getting only 40%, maybe 50% on a really good day, right on the verbal questions, but after going through a couple of books' strategies on how to tackle those problems, I've started to get 75-80% correct. Therefore, I wanted to see if this is a good % of questions to get right generally on a paper test, or if I really need to be getting 90%+ to have any hope of scoring above 700 on the real thing.
Thanks!
