I don't get this.
Everything I learn in math seems to go straight out again. There is something wrong with my cognitive approach to math, because I truly struggling with memorizing even the simplest math.
What is wrong with me? I'm not stupid, I have a fairly good IQ and one of the highest grades in my class, even in math-related courses such as finance and statistics, but as soon as we go down on basic math, no calculator, no tools, I seem to fail. I did the diagnostic test and was only able to get between 5-7 correct answers.
I hated math in school, and didn't care to much about absorbing any fundamentals. However, this summer I've taken, or at least started taking math courses online, but still nothing about this subject seems to come natural for me. It's almost like learning a new language....
I am highly interested in philosophy and as well critical reasoning and sentence correction seem to go quite well for the moment.
I think that I need to find a way to just immerse in math, but I don't know how to start, and at the moment, it feels like I'm one of the worst talents in the world when it comes to math.
