How do I skim through dense RC passages quickly . Any method to do so.

I was always strong in RC, so perhaps my advice shouldn't be considered the most reliable. But lots and lots of RC question practice is a recommended approach. I especially advise you to look into some LSAT RC passages.
As for RC guidebooks, those should probably be used if you have an acute weakness in the area which can't be remedied through problem practice alone. I used the Powerscore RC Bible (here is a review). While very dense and expensive, the book is a powerful tool. For most, however, RC guidebooks aren't necessary.
GMAT Fiction helps somewhat. At the very least, it's a pleasant way to indirectly prepare for the GMAT.
