Hi All,
I took the OG Diag a few weeks ago and did fine on Quant and Data Suff, but when I took my first Manhattan CAT my math percentile was 46th. It's obviously a timing issue - I started the 22nd question at min 69 (16 questions to do with 6 minutes left) but honestly I wasn't doing so hot even before that (61st percentile).
Question 1: Does getting excellent/above average mean much on the OG Diag?
Question 2: If so, has anyone else experienced large fluctuations on quant? What was the cause and how did you deal with it?
If I had to venture a guess, I have a serious problem letting some math questions go. I got a 90th percentile score on the GRE math, but frankly I don't remember encountering questions on the GRE I didn't know how to do quickly. The GMAT really threw me a few times and I let myself waste a bunch of time because of it (6+ minutes on more than one question).
Can you still get a good score on the GMAT math and skip questions?
For reference, OG Diag and
MGMAT CAT I are below.
OG Diag:
Quant: 19 (excellent) - 51:06 min.
Data Suff: 19 (excellent) - 31:45 min
RC: 16 (excellent) - 26:30 min
CR: 13 (above avg.) - 31:17 min
SC: 12 (above avg.) - 23:38
MGMAT CAT 1:
Q: 39 (46th)
V: 38 (84th)
