Good afternoon everyone,
I am creating this post in order to receive some advice in regards to whether or not I should push back my testing date and reschedule. Here is a brief synopsis:
- Started studying for the GMAT seriously in September 2018
- 9/3/18 - Attempted GMAC Practice test #1 first cold: 500 (Q31, V28)
- September/October- Worked on Quant for approximately 2.5 months, primarily using
Target Test Prep (didn't really work on verbal too much)
- 11/16/18 - Attempted GMAC Practice test #2: 600 (Q45, V27)
- November/December - Completed EGMAT SC and CR in addition to working through most of the SC/CR questions in OG19; Practiced Quant maybe once a week just to try and maintain my previous Q45
- 12/30/18 - Attempted GMAC Practice test #3: 610 (Q43, V31)
Considering that my testing date is scheduled for February 5th, 2019, should I try and improve both quant and verbal in these next 5 weeks, or should I maybe push my testing date back to end of February? In other words, is it possible for a 60 point improvement within a 5 week time frame? Should I test February 5th regardless and just retake if need be?
My target score is a minimum 670. I've been studying on average approximately 15 hours per week. Additionally, I won't be applying to business schools for about another year and a half (finishing up active duty contract), so hopefully there is plenty of time for a retake. Targeting T25 for a career change.
What does everyone think?
Thanks again for the insights.
