GMAT Test Dates for 2019
I got a few questions from users about what dates are available for testing in 2019.
My answer is the same as it has been in 2018 - GMAT is a computer adaptive test that is administered 6 or 7 days a week at test centers worldwide.
GMAT can be taken any day that has an open seat. That's the good news - here is how to find your test center location and available dates:
- Check if your preferred date is available here. You will need to select a location and then will be presented with the choice of dates. You do not need to login!
- Usually you have to schedule GMAT for the following day or sometimes two
- Usually you cannot schedule for same day
- Max GMAT score is 800 and consists of a Quant and Verbal scores. There is a relationship between the two but the scores are calculated independently
The bad news:- GMAT Can be taken no more than once every 15 days, meaning that you can retake the test on the 16th day after you take it the first time
- The test costs $250 - that's likely more than any other test out there
- There is a cancellation penalty and a reschedule fee
- GMAT can be taken only 5 times in a 12-month period
- There is a "soft" lifetime limit for test-taking at 8 tests per person. This means that GMAC does not want you taking more than 8 tests in a lifetime, though this rule has been instituted to keep people from stealing questions and to keep tutors from doing research on a monthly basis. Most normal test takers can apply for a waiver and usually those are granted. I have not heard of anyone being denied
