FIRST: the perimeter is \(p=2*pi*r\), therefore the radius has to be \(r=6\). It is clear that the answer must be B or D, as the two linear sides of the section OA+OC are \(r+r=12\)

SECOND: 120º is \(\frac{1}{3}\) of a circle (360º)... therefore if the whole perimeter equals \(12*pi\), the arc ABC should be \(\frac{1}{3}*12*pi=4*pi\)

RESULT: \(4*pi+12\)

If the circle above has center O and circumference 12\pi, then the perimeter of sector ABCO is

A. 4 pi + 6
B. 4 pi+ 12
C. 8 pi + 6
D. 8 pi+ 12
E. 8 pi+ 24

2piR = 12 pi

R=6

The length of the arc = piR*120/180=4pi

Length of the sector ABCO = 4pi + 12
