Key concept: If we multiply a number by \(10^n\) (where \(n\) is positive), the result is to move the decimal place to the right by n spaces.

For example: \(1.2345 \times 10^2 = 123.45\)
And \(0.0012345 \times 10^4 = 12.345\)

Likewise, \(0.0000289 \times 10^1 = 0.000289\)
And \(0.0000289 \times 10^2 = 0.00289\)

In order to get to 28.9, we must take 0.0000289 and move the decimal place 6 spaces to the right.
In other words: \(0.0000289 \times 10^6 = 28.9\)
In other words: \(0.0000289 \times 1,000,000 = 28.9\)
