Found a question which i had solved correctly according to me, but it turns out it was not correct. At least the OA suggests so.

Are you sure you typed the question correctly? 2x=2y seems to be enough.

That is what i thought as well, but that's how it is give.I think then the question must be wrong.

It has be C. What if x=y=0 then x/y is not = 0. So, we need both statements.

The answer is B
From 1

y=4x+3

4x/y=-3/y

so 4x=-3
x=-3/4 and we cannot get the value of x/y so 1 not sufficient

From 2

2x=2y

x=y

x/y=1


so 2 is sufficient

so the answer is B

2x = 2y is also true if x = y = 0, for this case x/y is undefined not equal to 1, so (2) is not sufficient.
