If a and b cannot be equal to zero, is 0 < a/b < 1 ?
(1) ab > 0
(2) a − b < 0

From the premise, we need to show that both a and b are the same sign and if they're both negative, that a is greater than b and if they're both positive, that a is less than b.
Statement 1 says that they're both of the same sign, but nothing about their relative values. Insufficient
Statement 2 says that a is less than b, but nothing about their signs. Insufficient
Even when combined, we still don't know what their sign is. If we know they were both positive or negative, we could definitely answer the question.
