Forget conventional ways of solving math questions. In DS, Variable approach is the easiest and quickest way to find the answer without actually solving the problem. Remember equal number of variables and independent equations ensures a solution.

If w1x1=y1z1,w2x2=y2z2, and w2<w1, is z1>z2?

1) x2<x1
2) y1=y2


In the original condition, there are 8 variables and 2 equations, which should match with the number of equations. So you need 6 equations. For 1) 1 equation, for 2) 1 equation, which is likely to make E the answer.
When 1) & 2), x2=y1=y2=w1=0, w2=-1. If x1=1, z1=2. If z2=1, it is yes. If z1=1, z2=12, it is no, which is not sufficient.
Therefore, the answer is E.

Now i answered it incorrectly as i got carried away and did not realize that y can be 0 too .
now sir if the question added y,z,x,w ≠ 0 .
then would C be the answer?

Statement 1 and Statement 2 alone is insufficient to answer.

lets take both the statement together and try to solve the problem.

Since w1>w2
And According to statement 1&2. x1>x2 and y1=y2
So we can say that w1x1>w2x2
This implies y1z1>y2z2
And since y1=y2
So we can say that z1>z2

So Both statement is required to answer the question.
Is this correct??
