Last year a company made a profit of $60,000. The profit was divided among the 2 owners and their 6 employees. How much did each employee receive from the $60,000?

1) insufficient. one possibility is that each person got a different share which is not possible to find with the info provided.
2) sufficient. Let x be the amount each employee got. We get the equation 2(2x)+6x=60k. This is solvable so the answer is B

Hi - doesn't S2 contradict S1 in terms of whether the employees specifically are paid equally or not ?
Per S2 -- it seems to suggest, each employee is paid the same
Per S1 -- it quite possible that the employees specifically were paid different amounts
Shouldn't this property be the same across both statement 1 and statement 2
I have read in other blogs -- that statement 1 & statement 2 cannot contradict each other
