IMO E.
Statement 1 is insufficient
We do not know other side of triangle.
Statement 2 is insufficient
for the same reason as A

C is insufficient as well because we don't know which of the two sides are similar.

Combined:

We don't know whether it is a 15, 15, 20 triangle or 15, 20, 20 triangle, both are viable. Hence insufficient.

Ans: C

TestPrepUnlimited Please correct me if I'm wrong.
After combining both statements 1 and 2, we are unable to identify the perimeter of the isosceles \(\triangle ABC\). Hence, both statements are insufficient.

Therefore, we can't answer the question. Option E

Yes thanks for the correction, I wrote insufficient but fat-fingered C instead of E...

If triangle ABC isosceles, what is its perimeter?

(1) AB = 15

(2) BC = 20

(1) We don't BC or CA. One of the two sides will be 15 but we don't know the third one. Insufficient.

(2) We don't AB or CA. One of the two sides will be 20 but we don't know the third one. Insufficient.

Considering both:

Two sides can be 15, one can be 20, Two sides can be 20, one can be 15. Insufficient.

The answer is E
