Is P > |Q| ?

(1) P^2 > Q^3

(2) P > Q

It has got E written all over.
All are inequality and in each, term containing P is greater. Not likely to give an answer.

Is P > |Q| ?
MEANS P should be positive and should have a higher numeric value.

(1) \(P^2 > Q^3\)
P could be negative and Q positive.
P=100 and Q=10...YES
P=-100 and Q=10...NO
Insuff

(2) P > Q
We do not know the numeric value.
P=4 and Q=2....YES
P=4 and Q=-6..NO
Insuff

Combined
P=-4 and Q=-5...NO
P=100 and Q=-5..YES

E

BUT p^2 cannot be negative, even if p is negative p^2 will be positive.

You are right, but we have to compare P, which can be positive or negative, with |Q|, which is non negative
