Did Alberto pay more than N dollars for his new stereo, excluding the sales tax?

Let cost = c, Sales Tax =s
(1) The price Alberto paid for the stereo was 1.05N, including the sales tax.
c+s = 1.05N
Can't tell if c>N
Hence insufficient

(2) Alberto paid $35 in sales tax on the purchase of his new stereo.
This gives s = 35
Can't tell if c>N
Hence insufficient

(1) and (2)

c+35 = 1.05N

c= 1.05N-35

Still can't say if c>N

Hence insufficient
