(1) Carlos received exactly 1/3 the amount received by Ben.
Since no actual amounts are given, we cannot determine Carlos’s share. Not sufficient.
(2) Ben received exactly half of the $1,800,000 received by Alex.
Alex received $1,800,000, and since that represents 3/5 of the total, the total revenue is 5/3 * 1,800,000 = $3,000,000. Ben received half of Alex’s amount, or $900,000. Therefore, Carlos’s share is 3,000,000 - 1,800,000 - 900,000 = $300,000. Sufficient.

Statement 1:
(1) Carlos received exactly 1/3 the amount received by Ben.
If A = 3/5*(T)
then, B+ C = 2/5*(T)
C = 1/3*(B)
B + 1/3*(B) = 2/5*(T)
4/3*(B) = 2/5*(T)
B = 3/10*(T)
C = 1/3*(B) = 1/3*(3/10*(T) ) = 1/10*(T)
Carlos received 1/10 of total revenue.
How much Carlos received ? We cannot arrive at an exact figure. Hence, Insufficient .
Statement 2:
(2) Ben received exactly half of the $1,800,000 received by Alex.
3/5*T = $1,800,000
T = $3,000,000
B = 1/2*($1,800,000) = $900,000.
