It seems something is missing in this question. Prompt mentions 2 machines but the statements talk about the machine - we don't know which one. Even if we say that it's say J, then we have no info on R
If it is intentional, I would go with E as no info on the "other machine" is provided.
OR if the statements meant machines then the answer would be C, as we are given two machines, J and R, ran continuously at uniform rates to fill a production order and we got the rate of both together
