I have 2 years of Baker Tilly consulting experience and another 2 years of Deloitte consulting experience with a few internal international transfers of more than 6 months. I have excellent academics and everything else is just great. What worries me is that Baker Tilly is an accounting firm and my question is that will that Baker Tilly experience help?

Thanks for your post. First of all, keep in mind that there is no set/specific 'experience' that will get you in or even keep you out of Business School. An MBA is an opportunity to develop management and leadership skills and experiences, and people come from virtually all industries and backgrounds to business school. Mainly the schools want to know what you've experienced in your past career, what skills you've developed, what leadership and management experiences you've already had, what you will contribute to the class, and WHY you want the MBA (what are your future goals). Then they aim to create almost a micro-cosm of the world within the classroom-- a diverse group of individuals from various backgrounds and industries and job functions etc, so that you learn as much from your classmates as from the curriculum and professors.
So there is no right or wrong experience to get you in to b-school if you can explain it all well (as per above). And consulting within an accounting firm certainly seems relevant. Not sure if I'm missing anything else with regards to your question but hopefully that helps! Good luck!
