Thanks for posting. Congrats on the great GMAT! The pluses of a non-traditional background are that it will certainly help you be remembered; and there may not be as many applicants who would have a perspective or bring quite what you would to a class.

The challenge is often just ensuring that the MBA does make sense for you and is the right next step; and convincing the adcomm of that through your story. Especially since you will be older/have more experience than the average candidates... the questions of "why" and "why now" will be that much more critical in your case. I don't think it will be easy as you'll have some convincing to do, but it is still worth applying to a range of schools, with strong essays/apps, and seeing what happens if you feel this is the best step for you. Stanford, HBS & Wharton will be reaches most likely even with that GMAT, so as long as you know that going in, you can plan your school list accordingly. Yale may be a good 'match' given your non-profit interest. And you could look outside the top 10/15 for more of a 'safety' option too if interested.
