Hi Kumar,
Thanks for your post. I am wondering what the rush is to get an MBA (if that is for sure the degree you are focused on) so quickly..... while there are students admitted with less work experience, it can be more difficult because the schools do want to ensure that incoming classmates are bringing a certain level of experience to the classroom discussion and team projects and case studies etc... hence why the more well-known MBA programs tend to have students entering with an average of 5 years of full time experience (and some in the UK are closer to 6 years on average for example). Yes it can be true that the lesser-known schools or lower ranked may be more accepting of less experience; but it just depends on what your overall goals are.... I would suggest focusing on your long term career goals, and then think back to what will help you get there... you COULD be better off working a bit more, building your profile and resume, then going for an MBA and your post-MBA career options and opportunities might be even stronger in that scenario. Another option to consider might be a Masters in Management degree, generally designed for those with 0-1 year of work experience, and popular in the UK but also around in the US. Lot of factors to consider! In any case taking the GMAT now is not a bad option as scores are valid for 5 years. Best wishes to you!
