One thing we have noticed while speaking with Wharton applicants over the years is that a lot of people eliminate themselves from contention before the admissions committee ever does.
Usually because of a GPA or GMAT/GRE score they think is “too low.”
Obviously Wharton is highly competitive, and strong academics matter. But applicants sometimes underestimate how much execution, clarity of goals, leadership, impact, and personal positioning influence the overall application.
We have also seen candidates with very strong scores struggle because the application lacked direction or authenticity.
We are hosting a small coffee chat around this topic with Senior MBA Admissions Consultants Shimri Winters and Danielle Marom: Beyond the Score: Strategies for MBA Admissions with a Low GPA or GMATDate: May 14, 2026
Time: 8:30 PM IST | 08:00 AM PDTThe discussion will focus on a practical application strategy rather than generic admissions advice.
