Total price of mixture 7.5 total bags = 7.5 / .25 = 30 bags

Total price = 30 * 1.5 = 45

Individalu price 45 /1.5 = 30$

let now A/ B price of mixture

Given 1.5A = 6B ----I

And we know now

1.5A + 6B = 30$ --------- II

from I / II

A = 10$

Hey rx0005 what is the "individual price of $30? I don't understand...

I get the part about adding the weights:

1.5 kg A + 6.0 kg B = 7.5 kg AB mix


7.5 kg/0.25 kg/bag = 30 bags


30 bags * $1.5/bag = $45

From there I get a little confused, how did you get $30, what is that number?

A = B but when mixture A + B * 1.5 = A or B right, isn't taht what the question says...I would appreciate it if you could explain your answer a little more...thanks.

Sorry doode got caught in traffic here !

The solution is simple

Now after mixing the bag we get 30 bags from 7.5 kilos total so he sells them for 1.5$ a bag
so total sale from A and B mixture = 30 * 1.5 = 45$

the problems states

"If the sales value of mixture is 50 percent more than the total sales value of A and B"

So the mixture (45$) is 50% more than the value of A and B individual total

that is you can say the cost price of A and B
so le tht be x so x*150% = 45 or 45 /1.5 = 30$

so A and B cost 30$ then the rest is just solving the 2 eq

hope u get it if not i will try to explain again.

I think the question stem has to say the price of A per KG. Otherwise, it is slighly confusing.
