(One of the wrong answers to this one is taken directly from the discussion of GMAT percentiles on the GMAC website.)

in option A and B.
skill level compare with other test takers. it is wrong.
IN option C is skill level compare with skill level by usage of that. hold on.
In option D, pronoun they does not have an antecedent.
In option E your skill level compare with skill levels of others.
if you compare C with E. IN option C others are plural. so you need skill levels not skill level.
In option E is clearly mentioned. so option E is correct.

same error repeats as above.

skill level becomes plural when it is combined of all other test takers.
