Hello All,
From my reading, it sounds as if a fair amount of GMATClub members have been accepted at Fuqua, Ross, and/or both. At present, I am fortunate to have been accepted at Ross/Fuqua with an outstanding decision from Kellogg (not anticipated to be a yes, but we’ll see) and a dismissal from Tuck. This leads me to the question of how does one weigh Fuqua against Ross. Both schools are strikingly similar to me in their characteristics, including: diverse domestic placement, social responsibility, team orientation, strong Gen Management orientation, breadth of strengths, and even the fact they both are under construction. Ross naturally orients towards the “actionâ€

I didn't apply to Fuqua, but I agree they are similar.

The bottom line for me not applying to Fuqua and deciding on Michigan were 1) not wanting to live in NC 2) slightly better opportunities for consulting (IMO) 3) bigger network
Academically, one of the things that really swayed me was other schools at Michigan which are top 5 in probably 9 other disciplines.
With all that being said, I have friends that have graduated from Fuqua and absolutely loved it and are doing well. You can't go wrong here

I met a law student who decided on UMich over Duke because he hates the cold weather. Not bad reasoning.
I would pick Duke b/c of its emphasis on teamwork--a skill needed for MC.
