If you've done something quite unique and it comes up and you have pictures to show, I'd take them.

For eg: you organized a conference and there's a picture of you in front of 500 people opening the conference, take pics of that with you. It may come in handy.

Eg2: you climbed some interesting mountain, carry along some pics of you in the mountain top.

Eg3: you created an algorithm that sorted out a very difficult problem. Don't take a flowchart of that along.

Eg4: you mentored a young co-worker. Don't take the coworker along

The main theme is: take stuff that people would find very interesting regardless of a B-school interview. Don't display them right away, though, sense the feeling of the interviewer, ask whether they'd like to see some pictures and only then show them a few (2 - 3 max, not 25).

Hope it helps. L.

Thanks for the advice. I actually am a marketing executive and my forte is in design and conceptualizing ad campaigns. So I thought it might be cool to bring in some samples of my designs. But I definetly don't want to turn adcom off. Do you think those are appropriate to bring?

If you can hide them in your bag and only take them out if you get the feeling it's relevant, then yes. It would be relevant if your interviewer seems interested on the work and then you offer to show them a sample.

If you just discuss those projects briefly or focus on other aspects of them (leadership, group work, etc.) then the samples won't be relevant and will be best left inside the bag.
