I have heard that if you did not perform well in an undergraduate course, retaking it can help the adcoms see that you are serious about your MBA. I'd love to retake Business Statistics and Managerial Accounting, two courses I did not do well in. My question is, do they look poorly on taking courses online, say from a place like University of Phoenix?
Also, has anyone taken courses online? If you have any advice on schools or courses, I'd greatly appreciate it.

things gets rehashed a lot. do a search and find a plethora of info. but in brief:
retaking classes shows you are serious, and that you CAN do the work. However, 2 pts:
If you didn't do THAT badly, you may want to take a different class which will show the same ability and drive, but will actually add to your knowledge base. Popular choices: calc, micro, macro, finance
Two buts:
1. not all schools are created equal. Community colleges, local state schools, some online programs might be considered sub-par. UC Berkeley and UCLA extensions get props, though are somewhat pricey.
2. Doing a class or two in isolation is not the same thing as juggling a full course load and doing well. Still, it shows you care and have some potential.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate all I can get.
My GPA in undergrad (Wake Forest's Calloway School of Business and Accountancy) was a 2.82, which is extremely low. I got a D in Quant I (business statistics), and C's in Quant II, Managerial Accounting (B+ in Financial Accounting), and Finance. I'd like to retake Quant I, because that D is unacceptable to 99% of the schools I'd like to apply to. I'd also like to retake either finance or accounting, maybe Economics.
I live in Ohio, so the only way I could take a course would be online, or at a local university at night (Kent State, U of Akron, etc.)
