Could you, please, give a more detailed answer?


see the pattren: 1+2+3+4 = 10

1+2+3+4 repeats 6 times so that we have 24 each digits.

Since the numbers {1,2,3,4} in the 4 digit numbers do not repeat, their sum will always be 1+2+3+4=10. Look above 1st collumn yeilds 10, second 10.......
If we devide 24 intengers by 4 we get 6. 24 intengers will yeild '11,110'
6 times, cuz the pattern repeats.
Multiply 11,110*6=66,600 total sum.

whenever there is time pressure and you do not get the beautiful solution above you can also try to quickly estimate --> each integer has to be 6 times the thousands digit, i.e. there are

6 * something about 1300 = ca. 8k

6 * something about 2200 = ca. 13k

6 * something about 3200 = ca. 19k

6 * something about 4200 = ca. 25k

--> adds up to ca. 65k and E is closest

(i know this is a bit strange but i just wanted to show since i sometimes do not get the beautiful solution in 2 min...)
