There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
I'm pretty upset at the moment. Just finished the gmat and got a 680 (43Q, 40V). Also, I left the last quant question blank due to bad timing. My understanding is that leaving a question blank drops your raw score 3 points.
My GMATprep practice scores were as follows.
710 (46Q, 41V) 740 (49Q, 42V)
I want to attend a top 10 school and my score is at the low end. Thinking about using another month to study then retaking.
Clicks- i feel your pain. i took the GMAT today 5/29 and scored 680 (44Q, 39V). my GMATPrep quant scores were Q47 and Q49 respectively, similar to your's. did you also feel that the quant was considerably harder?

Yes, the quant on the actual GMAT seemed much harder than GMATprep. At first I thought it was because I was getting so many questions right. Sadly my score proves otherwise

Do you plan to retake?
It sucks because 680 puts you in a such an awful predicament: expend your energy either on practicing quant and learning IR for a retake next month or on writing/perfecting applications for early 1st round. 680 is a score that'll put top-10 schools out of reach but will give you a somewhat fair shot at schools ranked 11-25.

My goal is a top 10 school, so I guess I'll have to retake. Was really hoping I wouldn't have to learn IR but it is what it is.
hi, I took the test on 28/5 and even I think that there is a drastic difference between quant levels of actual GMAT and GMAT prep. I do feel your pain.
