$10k in the ratio 2:3:5 means that he split the$10k in 2+3+5=10 parts. Each part is of $1k. 2 parts ($2k) earn 10% = 200
3 parts ($3k) earn 25% =$3k divided by 4 = $1.5k divided by 2 = 750 5 parts ($5k) earn 20% = one fifth of 5k = 1k

In total he earned 200 + 750 + 1000 = 1950.

Also please introduce me his investment manager.
