Solution

Given:
    • A photocopier can copy r pages per hour

To find:
    • The number of pages the photocopier can copy in s seconds

Approach and Working:
We know, 1 hour = 3600 seconds

Hence, we can write,
    • In 3600 seconds, the photocopier can copy r pages
Or, in 1 second, the photocopier can copy = \(\frac{r}{3600}\) pages
Therefore, in s seconds, the photocopier can copy = \(\frac{rs}{3600}\) pages

Hence, the correct answer is option D.
