A poll with N people were interviewed. If 1/4 of them answered "YES" to Q1 and of those 1/3 answered "YES" to Q2 in terms of N what is the number of people who were interviewed who did not answer "YES" to both the questions.

My analysis is whether its 1/3 of N/4 OR is it N/ 3 istself in either way i cannot seem get the ans.

1/12(N) answer Q1 as well as Q2. 1-1/12=number of ppl who answer Q1 or Q2.
Can either of you explain how its got I still dont get it
I know the indivdual total for every Q has to be N in essence there are 2N replies totally.

1/3*1/4=1/12. so 1/12 answer "yes" to both questions and 11/12 do not answer "yes" to both questions. draw a venn diagram. the intersection contains 1/12.
