A rectangle with dimensions 75 inches by 100 inches is divided into 20 smaller rectangles. If each rectangle has equal dimensions, how many inches of lines are needed to divide the original rectangle?
1). One of the dimensions of each of the rectangles is 15 inches.
2). One of the dimensions of each of the rectangles is 25 inches.

Both the stmt are telling the same thing.

Stmt 1.
One dimension of small rectanle = 15
Let other dimension of small rectangle = X
20(X*15) = 75*100 (Area of 20 small rectagles = area of big rectangle)
X = 25.
We can do further calculations to determine the inches of line required. Hence suff.

Stmt. 2
This will tell that the other side of small rectangle = 15.
Suff.

Let me know if you need further calculations.Basically we need to calculate the parameter of 20 small rectangles minus parameter of large rectangle.

When both statements give the same info, the answer is always D/E.
