(75+84+82+x)/4=74

74x4=296

296=75+84+82+x
X+241=296
X=55

Average = (sum of individual scores/ # of scores)

Answer is 55

Sum of the scores in 4 tests = 74*4 = 296

Sum of the scores of 3 tests = 75 + 84 +82 = 241.

Scores in 4th test = 396 - 241 = 55.

E is the best answer.

\(75 + 84 +82 + s = 74*4\)

Or, \(s + 241 = 296\)

Thus, \(s = 55\), Answer must be (E)
