C.

"are rarely fatal" is wrong. Hence, A and B are out. "theycause chronic flesh" in E is wrong.
Also, "particularly vulnerable to its" is wrong in D.

OA is D

However, I think its wrong because "it" should refer to spiders not the bite
therefore should be "their" as in C

I dont know

Cant wait to get done with this freakin test...

Although the bite of X, the bite ….

Since “the Bite” is singular, we require “it” not “they” – Eliminate A, B and E
Between C and D:
C – “posing the greatest danger to….” Requires to modify “the bite” and “their” incorrect number

particulary vulnerable to (its) 'the bites poison' makes no logical sense...

"its" refer to spider's.

Notice that in the original sentence, spider is plural, while in D, it's singular.

Answer choices C and D use "spider" as singular in place of plural "spiders" in the original sentence and hence "its" is perfect and answer choice should be D.

I picked D and was scrolling down looking at a bunch of C's and I was wondering why I was wrong. Yep, C & D change the plural spiders to singular spider. GMAT keeps tricking us.
