(A) No. This is out of scope. We don’t care who the buyers are; we need only to weaken the idea that safety features weren’t important to those buyers.
(B) Yes. We have evidence that safety features are important to buyers; it’s just that the buyers have a different opinion of what makes a vehicle safe.
(C) No. This doesn’t explain the difference between this company’s old and new models’ performance.
(D) No. It doesn’t matter to what age groups the car appeals. This is out of scope.
(E) No. Knowing that the price is the same does not help us weaken the argument. If we had learned the new model was cheaper, however, we would have had an alternate cause for the sales results, which would have been a good way to weaken the argument.
