At a certain theater, the cost of ticket for an adult and a child is $5 & $3 resp. What was the avg. cost of all the adults and childrens tickets sold yeaterday.

1) Yesterday ratio of childrens tickets sold to the the no. adults tickets sold is 3 :2
2) Yesterday 80 adults tickets were sold.

1) $5 * (2/(2+3))+ $3 *(3/(2+3)) =$19/5 = $3.8
Suffcient

2) We don't the number of tickets childrens tickets sold.
in suffcient.


A is the answer.

We need the avg. cost of tickets. A does not imply it is avg. of all cost of tickets sold yesterday. Please clear this point.

Ratio is enough to find the avergage of all tickets. (each ticket cost is given in the question)..
