I usually get confused with the usage of the following verbs in GMAT Verbal:
has/have/had Vs Was/Were

What is the grammar rule that differentiates the usage b/w these verbs?How do you recognize that they are being incorrectly used?Thank you.Rgds,

Anna Rama, I would suggest you to read a bit on the different english tenses(which is much more simple than what you could have with french verb tenses 
)
Basically, you have:
Simple tenses
- present
- past
- future
Progressive tenses
- present perfect
- past perfect
- future perfect (not very often tested but good to know that it exists)
The above 5 tenses, especially present&past perfect tenses, are crucial for you to know so that you can apply them to different question types. Read on about those 5 tenses at this site:
