58 Adult survivors of child abuse traditionally have had little or no chance that they could get their symptoms recognized and treated.

(A) that they could get their symptoms recognized and treated
(B) to recognize and treat their symptoms
(C) of getting their symptoms recognized and treated
(D) of recognizing and treating symptoms
(E) of getting his or her symptoms recognized and treated

Guys, how to differentiate B from C? Thanks!

(A) that they could get their symptoms recognized and treated
--wordy
(B) to recognize and treat their symptoms
--this sounds like that the recognizing is done by the survivor itself whereas, the given statement sounds as if some one else is doing the recognization.
(C) of getting their symptoms recognized and treated
-- symptoms are individual to each person so, i beleive singular pronoun - his or her - should be in place of their.
(D) of recognizing and treating symptoms
--this sounds like that the recognizing is done by the survivor itself whereas, the given statement sounds as if some one else is doing the recognization.
(E) of getting his or her symptoms recognized and treated

I will go with E. What is the OA?

Adult survivors .. littel chance to recognize and treat..
--> Adult survivors are not treating themselves B is changes the original meaning..
Clear C.
"Chance of " --correct idiom

his/her-- is wrong (
E is out)

have chance of getting their symptoms hence C.
B is indicating that they themselves have no chance to recognize; hence, incorrect.
