OA is C, but answer choice D seems more approriate to me.
I dont get why the procedures are unnecessary, when the new scans can identify problems in areas where a normal scan cannot.

Am I wrong? Or is this just another bad formulated CR question?

OA is C, but answer choice D seems more approriate to me.
I dont get why the procedures are unnecessary, when the new scans can identify problems in areas where a normal scan cannot.

The OA is correct. D is not appropriate because no where in the question stem does it state that angiogram is more appropriate than heart scans. The question steam just lists 2 advantages and 1 disadvantage of the heart scans but does not state if it is less or more appropriate than an angiogram.

We cannot assume that because heart scans can identify harmless abnormalities, it becomes a less appropriate method than an angiogram. Perhaps angiogram has a more significant disadvantage than heart scan but it is not listed in the question steam.

C is correct because it is basically just repeating what is written in the question stem. It can cause indirect harm, because the patient might undergo unnecessary procedures because of what the heart scan shows.

The key is to stick to the information and not assume anything more than what is written in the question stem. :-D

It means scan detects abnormalities , which are harmless and can be left untreated but since they are detected patient undergo treatment.

It means scan detects abnormalities , which are harmless and can be left untreated but since they are detected patient undergo treatment.

I don't think C is right since the question stem never mentioned the treatment is risky and harmful. The treatment may be unnecessary, but it is way too far to assume the treatment is risky or harmful. what if the treatment is only to take some medicines, a procedure that is not risky at all? In hance, I don't think C is right. C requires the same amount assumption as D does.

I don't think C is right since the question stem never mentioned the treatment is risky and harmful.
